Meet the friendly staff at Oasis Veterinary Hospital!
His name is Jeancarlos, but he goes by J.C. because it seems easier for most peole to pronounce. J.C. joined the Oasis family in 2018. Before joining Oasis, he worked at an animal shelter in San Jose prior to beginning his vetmed career at another local hospital. J.C.'s long-term goal is to become a vet, and working in the field has simply confirmed that choice.
J.C.'s first desire to become a vet emerged when he was 16 years old, when his dog broke his leg. J.C. felt helpless as, with little money, he could only afford a cast without an x-ray, which resulted in the leg not healing properly. His dog is currently happy and healthy at 10 years of age, but with a leg deformity that serves as a constant reminder that he would like to be able to help out another kid in the same situation.
J.C. is currently a student while working full-time. He would like to be enrolled in an undergraduate program at a 4-year university by 2021. Between work and school, there remains little time for being a 'normal human' with hobbies, but he makes the most of it. He is currently training for a Brazilian Ju-Jitsu competition, and running a one marathon per year.
He enjoys the highs and lows of this job, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
